10:30++ - I am Legend
I Am Legend is a 2007 post-apocalyptic science fiction film directed by Francis Lawrence and starring Will Smith. I really like this film. actually I'm a one man team so i like movies with only 1 cast and surviving it all by himself. but this movie is not about surviving. Robert was a Soldier. His family crashed with another helicopter when they where going to a safe facility. He lived with his dog for a year. that time he hunts for Deers that migrated to the city and searched for food. He had a lab in his basement with lab rats to test his cure for the virus. he then trapped and got an infected one and found out a solution to the cure but the infected ones partner hunted him down and he was trapped just before sunset. he was then rescued by his dog and was died on his arms. then he decided to take revenge for it that's when a two survivors again, rescued him. he then woke up in his house and met the two survivors. later that night, a mob of infected ones have surrounded his house and started destroying their hideout. he then put the other two survivors to the basement porch of the house and gives them the cure for the disease. he then goes head on with the leader of the infected with a hand grenade sacrificing himself in the end. after that, the two survivors came to this facility where soldiers and other civilians we're living and gives the leader the antidote for the disease and tells them that Robert invented the cure.

12:00++ - Martyrs
a 2008 French-Canadian horror film written and directed by Pascal Laugier. It was first screened during the 2008 Cannes Film Festival at the Marché du Film. The film was released in France publicly on 3 September 2008. The film begins with a young girl, Lucie (Jessie Pham), as she escapes from a disused abattoir where she has been imprisoned and physically abused for a length. Fifteen years later, Lucie (Mylène Jampanoï) bursts into a seemingly normal family's home and kills them all with a shotgun. Lucie calls Anna (Morjana Alaoui) to tell her that she has finally found and killed the people responsible for her childhood abuse and requests her help in burying the bodies. Upon arriving, Anna is horrified at the carnage, and worries that Lucie may have murdered the wrong people. Anna later discovers the mother is still alive and tries to help her escape, but the two are discovered by Lucie, who bludgeons the mother to death. Lucie is again attacked by the scarred creature, but all Anna sees is Lucie banging her head against the wall and cutting herself with a knife; the 'creature' is nothing more than a psychological manifestation of Lucie's guilt for leaving behind another girl who was also imprisoned and tortured with her as a chill. Lucie tells the apparition that she killed its tormenters and that it can rest, but it has no effect. Lucie finally realizes that her insanity will never leave her and slits her throat. She dies in Anna's arms. The next day, after mourning her friend's death, Anna attempts to clean up the house and discovers a secret underground chamber. Imprisoned within is a horribly tortured woman, covered in scars with a strange metal contraption nailed to her head. While Anna attempts to care for her and clean her wounds, a group of strangers arrive and shoot the woman dead. Captured by the menacing newcomers, Anna meets their leader, an elderly lady only referred to as Mademoiselle (Catherine Bégin). She explains that she belongs to a secret society seeking to discover the secrets of the afterlife through the creation of "martyrs". Systematic acts of torture are inflicted upon young women in the belief that their suffering will result in a transcendental insight into the world beyond this one. So far, all of their attempts have failed, and they have only created "victims". Anna becomes their latest subject and is imprisoned in a chamber. After an unspecified period, during which she is repeatedly beaten and degraded, Anna hallucinates a conversation with Lucie, who tells her to "let go" so she won't be afraid any more. Soon after, Anna is told she has progressed further than any other test subject, and has reached the "final stage" and will suffer no more. Anna is taken to a surgeon and is flayed alive. She survives the procedure, entering a state that is described as being "euphoric" and likened to achieving transcendence. Mademoiselle arrives, eager to speak to Anna about her experience. Anna turns to her and whispers into her ear. Members of the society begin gathering at the house to learn of the insights Anna shared with Mademoiselle. As Mademoiselle prepares herself, a doubting member asks her if what Anna said was clear and precise. Mademoiselle replies that there is no room for interpretation, and asks him if he could imagine what comes after death. When he says no, she tells him to "keep doubting" and places a pistol in her mouth and shoots herself. An intertitle informs the audience that "martyr" is Greek for "witness".y period of time. No signs of sexual abuse are identified, and the perpetrators and their motivations remain a mystery. Lucie is placed in an orphanage, where she is befriended by a young girl named Anna (Erika Scott). Anna soon discovers that Lucie believes that she is constantly being terrorized by a ghoulish creature; a horrible, disfigured, emaciated woman (Isabelle Chasse) covered in scars. -Wikipedia (movies)

OPM: What really happened..

OPM or "Original Pinoy Music" was first introduced in the late 80's. It was called in the late 70's Pinoy Rock/Garage music/Tunog Kalye. Back then, people were inspired in writing poems and making original chord progression. Chord Progression is the process of making rhythms by the use of every instruments (guitars, keyboard, drums and base are the basic instruments) and back then people were against plagiarism and copying of chord progression. artist like Francis M. is one of the people who's against with it but by the time he wrote his hit songs Kaleidoscope World and Friends, it's tunes and intro's were the same as The Beatles hit songs "Here, There, Everywhere" and "In my life" which made a ruckus on pinoy music stream, by that time sample/sampling was introduced. Sampling is using same chord progression of a hit song but made public and with the composer's approval. many artist back then was introduced and rises up to fame because of their unique and original compositions and chord progressions. Eraserheads was one of those bands and stayed on the minds of every Filipino today.

Today, OPM in my opinion is fading. most of the singer/bands are doing revivals and mostly these songs were a hit back then. what really bugs me is that they've been doing their own versions of it. i'm not against it but as you can see, reviving songs from the past is good and i know it's trending here in the phillipines but it's just for bars and pubs. why revive songs and send it as a proposal for a new album when you can just write your own song.

composers from late 80's were motivated because of new and aspiring musicians, they compete with their own and original compositions, rey valera, renz verano, ogie alcasid, ariel rivera and other ballad composers were competing with bands or tunog kalye genre like eraserheads, rivermaya, parokya ni edgar, the teeth, grin department and many more. back then our music industry was at it's peak. we even competed with other foreign artist and won it in our own language.

today, OPM is fading fast. i'm not saying it's because of other genres like hip hop/rap, kpop and jpop, pop and many more genres but it's because of us supporting piracy. top level composers are still motivated in writing original compositions but they are not financially motivated and it's because of piracy. they wont be risking their compositions for a label company because once it is out there it's easy to manipulate. composers were risking everything for us to see what's happening to our music scene. other bands were disbanding because they cant support their own lives just by living as a musicians. others stayed because they love and like to live it.

I'm not against any other genres, as i said to other people "Music connects people, kahit anung genre pa yan". it makes us connected. what I'm saying is we were connected by their songs and compositions. it's about time to give back to them and appreciate on what they have done to be heard.

SongMeanings: Here is Gone

Lyrics Meaning:
"You and I got somethin'
But it's all and then it's nuthin to me, yeah
And I got my defenses
When it comes through your intentions for me, yeah"
Story: two person have this same connections, they had this same feeling for each other but one of them think it's just a fluke and got his/her defense up on guard. he/she thinks that the other one is not like the one for him and thought that he/she must be careful because he/she does not know if the other one is serious on what they have that time.

"And we wake up in the breakdown
With the things we never thought we could be, yeah"
and one day they thought that if they'd be together, they would be very happy, and things would work just fine

"I'm not the one who broke you
I'm not the one you should fear
We got to move you darlin
I thought I lost you somewhere
But you were never really ever there at all"
But this time the other one thinks that of all people, why should he/she think that way of him. like he/she is just using the other one, and thought that he/she must make a move before it's too late but when he/she made that move the other one does not appreciate it at all. he/she is not interested on what the other one is doing for him/her.

"And I want to get free
Talk to me
I can feel you falling
And I wanted to be
All you need
Somehow here is gone"
Now the person who did those efforts for him/her is at loss. he/she wants to be free from what they had and wants to clear everything on what they had. he knows that the other person have some feelings for him/her but it THINK it's too late for now because he/she had given up on what they had back then. he/she wants to move on an go on with his/her life now.

"I am no solution
To the sound of this pollution in me, yeah
And I was not the answer
So forget you ever thought it was me, yeah"
He/She had told the other one that he/she got issues and he/she can't change that. He/She told the other one that they were never meant to be and it's best for them to broke up and pull everything off. because they were never meant for each other.

"And I don't need the fallout
Of the path that's in between us
And I'm not holding on
And all your lies weren't enough to keep me here"
One of them doesn't want to be the reason of their broke up so he/she made up stories about them but either way he/she just want to move on even though his/her partner tells him/her that he/she would change everything and promises that everything will be alright again.

"I know it's out there
I know it's out there
And I can feel you falling"
Now that he/she is trying to move on with their lives he/she still thinks that he/she will find the right one. and still the other one is making it up for what because this time his/her partner thought that he/she is really in love with him/her.

"I know it's out there
I know it's out there
Somehow here is gone, yeah"
Still hoping that the day would come when he/she will meet the right one for him/her that deserves what he/she have. he/she told and finalize everything for his/her partner that it's over this time and live his/her life now without each other by their sides.

NOTE: The point of this is that don't make rational and hasty decision, before going in and divulge into that relationship you must think everything first. know everything first, study and observe first cause it may not be the right time you both of you to be together. take sometime, know each other first. then if thing work out then take it to the next level.
